The almighty Sol

I have just finished my artistic exploration of the Sphere of Venus as part of my intent to symbolize the whole Tree of Wyrd, as a sign of my dedication to the Sinister Tradition.

A lot has already been written about the Sphere of Venus, the astrological aspects of Venus, so no need to copy them. Also the Sphere of Venus has already been described in the Mss of the ONA. There are a few things I have personally added through my exploration of its singular power.

First of all, and part of the exoteric strategy of the ONA, the reference to one of the most ancient symbols of the West, namely the magickal script of the Runes. Specifically for Venus I have drawn the Othala and Fehu Runes.

Fehu

Fehu, of course, as the Rune of Freya, the most powerful goddess of love, war and sexual attraction of the Northern pantheon. Fehu’s energy stands for the Will-to-Power, Sexual power, Feminine and matriarchal Power. The Rune itself means ‘cattle’ and stood for mobile wealth. But I prefer not to pay attention to the ‘materialistic’ connotation of this Rune as materialism is already the main focus in the West nowadays. The Rune’s spiritual power lies however in the energy, the transference from the acausal to the causal through Love/agape, in the ability to feel empathy, to feel connected with your folk around you, good friends, soul mates, between lovers but also the connection with Nature, your Heimat. This also denotes wealth, but a spiritual one. Being, as Heidegger wrote, is always a being there (Dasein) as we are thrown into this world (Gefallenheit) we are here with others and the Other. There is the transference of energy, of experiences which we are building on and how we shape who and what we are at this moment, but always with a higher aim. For those who are able to ‘feel’ Fehu, to feel the green glow of Venus, reassuring yet tantalizing, know that there is something Eternal calling us. As Myatt described this very well: there is no division between us, ipseity is just an illusion and ipseities offer us no answer, no matter how we are longing after definite answers. The Sphere of Venus offers no answer, but its green colour, one of the colours of Nature, can actually soothe us. Not soothing us ‘to sleep’ but actually an awakening, a break-through.

The feeling of empathy and compassion is one through which we become humble again, (as opposed to the ‘Black Magic’ formulas of becoming gods), and then we are ready to receive the richness from the acausal. The Sinister demands one to go beyond one’s limits and to leave the Ego behind. Just like in the alchemical Opus we have to become a vessel ready to accept without hesitation. The same applies to showing compassion: we can learn to love, to hold on. Agape is a Greek term which refers to such a state of mind and which is far more spiritual than the word ‘love’ that is used nowadays. Agape refers to a state of mind which destroys all illusions and puts us in an unconditional position. Unconditionally religious (religare = to connect). A most orthodox state of mind. Bataille demanded us to be ferociously religious. And we will not contradict him!

Bataille also referred to ‘love’ and ‘friendship’ as forms of wordless communication, a communication without demands, words, and this puts one in a delicate position almost defenceless. One enters the energetic Continuous where boundaries by definitions no longer apply. When I meditate I open my being-there to the World, and I let go of all my thoughts by casting them aways as illusionary. Agape is for those who are committed to an acephalic path of pure, selfless commitment. The ‘I’ is no longer present, one is devoted to a higher cause, devoted to the happiness of a friend or lover, to the spiritual realization of one’s Wyrd, the Wyrd of the West. A Higher Destiny of which Spengler and Heidegger wrote. Agape is also a Christian term, but one should not be afraid of it, or cast it aside as something ‘un-satanic’ or ‘weak’, for the term goes beyond all morality: to feel connected is a naturalistic essence. It goes beyond ‘good & evil’ and orthodox Christianity (its roots being Gnostic) is well aware of that.

We are all driven by a thrist, a longing, a will-to-power (Buddhist tanha), and we all have the need to satisfy this but let us not focus on that kind of easy satisfaction. Those urges and cravings steer us away from any possibility to inter-connect, to feel the energy drawn from the acausal to the causal.

Othala

The Othala Rune’s energy denotes the spiritual inheritance from our ancestors, our people, the land where we have been raised, its traditions, its folklore, its customs. What can we learn from those traditions that also played an important role in Europe such those of the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, Christianity and gnosticism. What can we learn from them? I genuinely believe in an Wordless tradition, a Tradition of the Soul which has been causally transferred through the ages into the Alchemical Tradition of the Great Work. The Sinister Tradition and my particular acephalic path are based on those ancient insights, add new ideas but are loyal to the Tradition.

Now, the Othala Rune exoterically reconnects me to my Heimat, the environment where I have been raised and which strenghtens me to honour those ancients Traditions. Albeit there being different high cultures (Greek, Roman, Arab, Christian) this is not about modern-day multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is only focussed on the causal (food, spice, habits and so on) while an über-cultural Tradition is about the lifting of the Soul, about what Jung referred as a collective unconcious. The Green sphere of Venus can be seen as nurturing that feeling of connecting again.

Another important aspect of the Othala Runes can be traced back to nobilitas, nobility, being noble. And this is an important element if we desire to grow spiritually, to evolve further and further away from the pathetic state of the mundanes in order to realise the Nietzschean Overman. Hence the connection with the Fehu Rune in the Sphere of Venus.

The Wet Path

Alchemically speaking this is the Sphere of Conjunction (in Naos one refers to Coagulation but I cannot agree with this). In the Hermetic Arts Conjunction occurs when a synthesis, a conjunctio occurs of the anima and the animus, the unconscious and conscious, the natural and that which one knows. One must therefore enter the Continuous and start to look introspectively: the Geist must turn towards itself (the inner change of which Myatt writes) instead of always looking at the outside. We must let ourselves be seduced by the Numinous or what Bataille calls the Sacred. Situated in the Sphere of Venus we talke about the Feminine principle, the eternal-Female which has always been honoured in the Satanic manifestation of the Numinous Sinister Tradition. This is quite a revolution as most Satanic ipseities are male oriented, and regard the female as being submissive, to be controlled. In that opinion these paths do not differ from the Magian beliefs they claim to criticize. The Sinister Tradition however is unique because of its utmost respect towards the female. This is based on the Alchemical understanding of the anima and the animus.

The Path of Venus is what is called a wet Path where the practioner is burnt by water. In the wet path of hermetism there also occur sexual symbols. The sexual act can therefore be seen as an alchemical process in which man and woman are united in love. The conjunctio of man and woman is akin to the operation between two vessels:

“the active and passive, the golden force against the captivating and sympathetic wet force that ‘dissolves’ the former and its own ‘enclosure’. […] ‘Our corpereal gold is as though dead before it unites with its mate. Only then is the secret, interior Sulfur developed’. […] ‘With the Sulfur of Venus, the inner sulfur of man is rectified, reinforced and wholly perfected’.” (Julius Evola, The Hermetic Tradition)

Death & Ecstasy

Interestingly, Evola also mentions the fact that the hermetic texts frequently “speak of a death that is a consequence of the coniunctio, of the ‘joining’, perhaps it also refers to the trauma that can occur at the height of the embrace and orgasm if subjected to a deliberate control.” Bataille referred to the orgasm as a ‘little death’ and this is exactly what occurs at the culmination of the sexual act: ecstasy or ekstasis: going beyond of oneself. In this moment of rapture one become headless, acephalic as one transgresses the limits of ipseity. The Sphere of Venus can therefore be deadly as well and the Dark Goddess Darkat reigns most supremely.

Dragon and the Ouroboros

In Naos one can find the symbol Dragon as being atributed to the Sphere of Venus. I have chosen the Ouroboros as it stands for the endless flux of energy, birth and Death, creation and destruction, and I find these aspects united in the Sphere of Venus. Freya as a Goddess embodies both love and war, creation & destruction. The dragon, often described to Mercury with which Venus is connected, devours itself and recreates and archetypically symbolizes the collective UR-grond of the Life Cycle. The attribution to Mercury is perhaps more accurate but Venus does possess such maternal qualities as well for the Water, as they element of Venus, also refers to the maternal water from which we are all born. The Mother as a guardian of the Life Force.

We can therefore conclude that the Sphere of Venus has much to offer to the practitioner. Approach it with the utmost respect. Enjoy the sexual rapture & the mystical Death. Become Acephalic!

In The Anonymous Denigration Of Myatt section of our article Modern Satanists And The Green-Eyed Monster we made mention of some allegations about Myatt by some anonymous propagandist and gave facts, omitted by the anonymous propagandist, regarding Myatt’s life. In another more recent article titled Suspicious Propaganda And The Exeatic Life of David Myatt, JB mentioned those comments, and concluded that in her opinion:

“in Myatt you have someone who seems to fit the profile of what an ONA person is or should be, regardless of whether he was or wasn’t Anton Long. That, at least to me and some others, make him someone to be admired and – perhaps – emulated.

That article by JB obviously upset the anonymous propagandist who replied with an article of his/her own, posted on his/her blog. In which article the anonymous propagandist again repeated his/her allegations and made the very silly blunder of claiming that Myatt was never interviewed by the BBC in the year 2000. This led to an exchange of opinions in the ‘comments’ section of his/her blog with the anonymous propagandist resorting to his/her usual tactic of ignoratio elenchi, writing that:

I wonder why even mildest criticism of Myatt and debunking his mythos bothers you. Oh wait, it’s rather obvious

To which we responded:

Once again you fail to admit your mistakes and instead of answering questions about why you continually attack and besmirch Myatt you (yet again) use ignoratio elenchi in an attempt to deflect attention away from yourself.

This led to a further exchange of comments, with the anonymous propagandist of course committing (yet again) the fallacies of argumentum ad hominem, ignoratio elenchi, and argumentum ad nauseam, the latter of which involved the anonymous propagandist repeating their mantra that they are only, really, truly, “demolishing the myths and legends that surround Myatt.”

There are no “myths and legends” surrounding Myatt; no need for such things because the documented facts of his life say all that needs to be said about him. Which is why, of course, the anonymous propagandist tries to discredit some of the sources that document aspects of Myatt’s life, writing as the anonymous propagandist does of “tabloid bloggers and shitty journalists and gullible academics.”

As a summary of the matter of the anonymous denigration of Myatt, and as an expose of the anonymous propagandist, we publish here a detailed reply addressed to him/her:

It’s a tactic also used by self-described satanists when they, having written in derogatory terms about Myatt and the ONA, are taken to task for their errors and omissions and propaganda.

You wrote about Myatt’s life that {quote} The rest is mythos deliberately perpetrated… {/quote}

Which well describes how you and many latter-day satanists talk about Myatt. You and they perpetrate a myth about Myatt which you and they deliberately, month after month and year after year, propagate.

Your shared myth about Myatt goes like this (and we are paraphrasing your own words), “All Myatt ever did was take part in some minor street fights…talk to some Muslim friends, read Quran, attend mosques and participate in some Muslim forum…and write loads of propaganda.”

This myth – by omitting many documented facts about Myatt’s life – is meant to bring him down to the low level of the likes of Levey and try to show that he had an unremarkable rather ordinary life, and that – in your words – “he’s just an ordinary chap.”

You, however, omit Myatt’s violent years – during which he was arrested and convicted at least six times, and for which violence he served two terms of imprisonment.

You omit Myatt’s upbringing in Africa and the Far East and the fact that he attended a private prep school.

You omit Myatt’s leadership of a gang of thieves for which he was arrested and convicted on almost sixteen counts of “handling and receiving” stolen goods.

You omit what one academic described as “his global odyssey which took him on extended stays in the Middle East and East Asia, accompanied by studies of religions ranging from Christianity to Islam in the Western tradition and Taoism and Buddhism in the Eastern path. In the course of this Siddhartha-like search for truth, Myatt sampled the life of the monastery in both its Christian and Buddhist forms.”

You omit the dawn raid on his four-bedroom detached village house and his arrest there by a Special Operations police unit in 1998 on charges of incitement to murder and his three years on bail following that arrest during which time detectives from Scotland Yard worked with the FBI, Interpol, and RCMP, to find evidence sufficient to convict Myatt in a court of law.

You omit his intellectualism, evident in his translation of and commentary on three of the tractates of the Corpus Hermeticism.

You omit that he publicly and under his real name, and when it was unpopular and dangerous to do so, defended the 9/11 attacks and bin Laden and thus made himself liable to arrest and imprisonment. You omit that he travelled in Muslim lands preaching Jihad when it was dangerous to do so given the Western invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. You omit that an article he wrote about Jihad was for years on the website of Hamas.

You omit his poetry, his published letters, and his post-2011 (rather intellectual) philosophy of pathei mathos. You omit many other documented facts about his life.

Little wonder then, given the facts of his complex, rather extreme and far from ordinary life, why one academic described David Myatt as an “extremely violent, intelligent, dark, and complex individual.”

It’s also little wonder why some ONA people – and some academics – consider his documented life as a practical example of what following the ONA Seven Fold Way to the stage of Magus means in real life.

Which brings us to the real reason why you and self-described satanists assiduously propagate your demeaning myth about Myatt. Because if Myatt really was Anton Long, with his life a practical example of the ONA Seven Fold Way, then his life debunks all your and their lies and propaganda about the Order of Nine Angles. Revealing as such a life does what the ONA, and what being ONA, means and implies.

Finally, not content with omitting numerous facts about Myatt’s life you try, just like a propagandist addicted to weasel-words, to discredit objective sources of information about Myatt’s life, calling such sources “tabloid bloggers and shitty journalists and gullible academics.”

All of which are indicative of not only the type of person behind your pseudonym but also of your motives and that of so many self-described satanists.

Conclusion

As noted in the above quote, the real reason why the anonymous propagandist – and self-described satanists in general – assiduously propagate their demeaning myth about Myatt is because if Myatt really was Anton Long, with his life a practical example of the ONA Seven Fold Way, then his life debunks all their lies and propaganda about the Order of Nine Angles, revealing as such a life does what the ONA, and what being ONA, means and implies in the real world.

I personally find it most interesting – and indicative – how many self-described satanists, how many internet trolls, how many Levey-supporters, and how many suspicious (perhaps government sponsored?) interlopers, continue to try – and have for years tried – to discredit Mr David Myatt.

For example, some anti-Myatt anonymous propagandist last year wrote on some ‘satanist blog’ that:

{quote} One rumor is that Myatt inspired the bomber Copeland [but] all we have is the gossip of the leftist morons from Searchlight. {/quote}

To which someone O9A replied:

No [you are wrong, for] there is the research carried out by the BBC TV program Panorama for their [2000 televised] Copeland documentary; there is the view of several well-respected academics (such as Professor Mark Wietzman), and there is the evidence gathered by the ‘anti-terrorism’ branch at Scotland Yard (then named SO13) who interviewed Myatt, under caution, several times after Copeland’s arrest in 1999. As with Myatt’s arrest in 1998 (by SO12, aka Special Branch) for conspiracy to murder, the CPS concluded there was insufficient evidence to prove his guilt in an English court of law. Plus, Myatt was on bail for over three years, having to regularly attend Charing Cross police station in London as part of his bail conditions.

What evidence there is, or was, in the matter of Copeland could be found by an accredited academic or by an accredited researcher writing a biography of Myatt.

As for your repeated quips about Myatt ‘fan boys’ (or fan girls) hyping Myatt and contrasting him with Howard Stanton Levey, what is documented about Myatt’s life puts him way beyond Levey in terms of living an exeatic, weird, violent, antinomian, life. There is no need for them – or anyone – to use unsubstantiated rumors or allegations made by journalists or the likes of Searchlight. Just presenting the documented facts about Myatt’s life is enough to make Levey seem, by comparison, just a showman and a wuss.

For example [Myatt has] convictions and imprisonment for violence, 1972: documented in court proceedings, prison records, and newspapers. Conviction for leading a gang of thieves in 1974 and being a fence: documented in court proceedings (sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for 2 years), police records/interviews, newspaper reports. Arrested in 1998 for conspiracy to murder: documented in police records (Scotland Yard, the operation was code-named Periphery), documented in custody records at Malvern and Charing Cross police stations. Founded and led the NSM, documented by several academics. Publicly supported bin Laden and the Taliban before and after 9/11: documented by several academics, by proceedings of NATO conferences, by newspaper reports. Having his writings justifying suicide attacks used by groups like Hamas: documented by several academics, and by proceedings of NATO conferences. And so on, and so on.

Also Myatt’s documented intellectualism – as in his Greek translations and commentaries, and books such as “Religion, Empathy, and Pathei-Mathos” – makes Levey seem, by comparison, a pretentious pseudo-intellectual.

But whatever self-described ‘satanists’, and others, may think of David Myatt – and regardless of whether he is or was Mr Anton Long – he most certainly has lived an exeatic life under his real name: from neo-nazi activist to leader of a criminal gang to preaching Jihad in Arab lands to publicly defending the likes of bin Laden and the Taliban when it was unpopular and very dangerous to do so.

Add to that that he’s regarded by academics as “England’s principal proponent of contemporary neo-Nazi ideology and theoretician of revolution” and you have someone who seems to fit the profile of what an ONA person is or should be, regardless of whether he was or wasn’t “Anton Long”.

That, at least to me and some others, make him someone to be admired and – perhaps – emulated.

Update, 11 January 2017: In reply to this post, the anonymous internet troll who uses the nym Anna Czereda – who regularly posts on ‘satanist’ and occult internet forums and who may or may not be Polish and who may or may not be female – wrote an article on his/her blog. In reply we posted, in the comments section, the following which we reproduce here in full, with a few typos corrected and one or two insertions for context.

In our article we gave details of where anyone interested in researching the life of Myatt can find the relevant documents. So, just what are you complaining about?

You wrote: “Wyrdsister goes on to hype David Myatt.”  As we mentioned, there is no need whatsoever for anyone to hype Mr Myatt for his exeatic life – when objectively studied – is sufficient of itself to show how much he differs from the much-hyped Howard Stanton Levey.

You also wrote: “the blog in question didn’t compare and contrast the sinister achievements of  Myatt and LaVey.” So what? Our post was about Myatt and about accusations made about him, with Myatt’s documented life sufficient to show that – regardless of whether Myatt was or wasn’t the mythical Anton Long – he makes Howard Stanton Levey look like a charlatan and a wuss.

That you et al – who criticize and who write diatribes about Myatt – never ever admit you’re not in full possession of all the facts about Myatt’s life is perhaps the most relevant fact about such criticism and such diatribes.

Order of Nine Angles

The O9A Septenary

It really has been revealing how so many self-described satanists – and/or self-described adherents of a Western Left Hand Path – over the past ten or so years have moaned, via the medium of the internet, about the Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A).

The following recent example is fairly typical, sent forth into cyberspace by someone who, previously claiming adherence to the ONA, was so disgusted by the apparent actions of the ONA that they declared that they had left the ONA:

“I would challenge a person who keeps tabs on the Satanic community to name a black magickal order besides the ONA which regularly expresses scorn for its own adherents… [several people] have been publicly shamed by more respected ONA members…[One person] joined the Order of the Nine Angles at one point prior to his public career. The nexion he joined plotted and attempted his assassination, as is recommended in some rarely perused ONA manuscripts about running a coven or temple.”

Now, let us re-write a part of that moaning to express the reality:

I would challenge a person who keeps tabs on the Satanic community to name a black magickal order besides the ONA which regularly expresses scorn for those who, desiring to remain anonymous, publicly claim adherence to the ONA. Several such individuals have been publicly shamed by more respected ONA members.

Furthermore, and more importantly, given that the ONA has for decades described itself as a Satanist group and has written thousands of texts about its ‘traditional Satanism’ what is so wrong with it being scornful of and shaming some anonymous individuals who have publicly self-declared that they are ONA?

The ONA is and was simply being Satanic in a practical way. For the ONA understands being Satanic as, among other things, being evil. Now, since evil is defined in the complete Oxford English Dictionary as:

(1) To harm or injure; to ill-treat. (2) Bad, wicked. (3) Doing or tending to do harm; hurtful, mischievous, misleading. (4) Offensive, disagreeable; troublesome. (5) Hard, difficult, deadly.

then the ONA is just being evil.

That latter-day self-described Satanists – following the likes of Howard Stanton Levey, the Yahodi – have attempted to redefine evil so that it does not involve any of the above is most amusing and indicative. That many self-described satanists criticize the ONA for actually preaching and doing evil is also most amusing and indicative.

So when the ONA demand anonymous individuals claiming to be ONA prove themselves and provides them with challenges and tests to ascertain their character, their esoteric knowledge, the ONA is practising Satanism, being Satanic. So when the ONA rounds on such individuals to see how they react, the ONA is practising Satanism, being Satanic. So when the ONA sometimes japes them or sometimes hoaxes them, the ONA is practising Satanism, being Satanic.

Also, let’s assume for the moment that the above fantasy about “assassination” is real and that the ONA actually does suggest that members of a nexion can challenge and attempt to assassinate a member or the leader/founder of that nexion. So what? That is being Satanic, being evil; presenting that member/leader/founder with challenges, with a test of his/her character, with a test of his/her fitness to hold such a position.

What, therefore, are modern self-described Satanists complaining about? That the ONA does not abide by the weedy, tame, definition of Satanism of such self-described Satanists?

True, the ONA does not, never has, and never will accept their weedy, tame, interpretation of Satanism.

Thus, despite all the rumours by self-described Satanists, the Order of Nine Angles has not changed at all over the decades. It is still “a dangerous and extreme form of Satanism.” All the ONA has done is made available more and more of its aural, esoteric, traditions (and the experience Anton Long acquired during his sinister and intellectual peregrinations) given how many individuals, over the last decade, have progressed to Internal Adept and given how many, having undertaken the necessary scholarly learning regarding Western esotericism and acquired the necessary sinister-numinous pathei-mathos, are in the process of approaching The Abyss with its melding of the sinister with the numinous and the consequent going-beyond all abstractions, dispensing as they then do with nomen and nomina.

But of course such a scholarly learning and such a willed, practical, sinister-numinous pathei-mathos are foreign to – unexplored worlds for – the latter day self-described (mostly plebeian) Satanist crowd who still, because of their hubris, wallow in such delusions as “Reality is what I make it… I because I am a self-declared Satanist am the highest embodiment of human life.”

(i) they have failed to disentangle the exoteric (the outer) from the esoteric (the inner), and thus have become lost in or confused by our Labyrinthos Mythologicus 1 ;
(ii) they have failed to understand just what the ONA is, and thus why there is, esoterically, no “joining” and no “leaving” some “entity” designated by the term “Order of Nine Angles”;
(iii) their lack of scholarly esoteric knowledge evident in their inability to write a scholarly critique of items in a compilation such as The Esoteric Hermeticism Of The Order Of Nine Angles  2 .

Doubtless this recent announcement about “leaving” – and the critical comments and accusations made about the ONA – will be seized upon by latter-day satanists, and unscholarly others, as “proof” that the ONA is “dead” and/or as confirmation of their own shallow, exoteric, personal opinion about the ONA.

But, as the article below states, such a “leaving” – en-wrapped in critical comments – has happened many times over the past two decades. And it has made no difference, and it cannot make any difference, to the esoteric philosophy 3 and the praxises 4 that presence (which are) the Order of Nine Angles. That they – and others – do not seem to understand this is most amusing, and of course indicative.

The Myatt Is Dead Hoax: An Analysis

Background

In early October 2016 a relatively new (free, wordpress) blog – claiming to be associated with Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A) ‘insiders’ – published a post about the death of David Myatt in Egypt.

Although the post contained no verifiable information it was picked up by some ONA supporters leading to a thread containing hundreds of posts on a private ONA Facebook group and then to discussions about Myatt – some pro, some contra – on sundry internet forums including some extreme ‘right-wing’ political forums such as Stormfront. The rumor even appeared on social media platforms such as ‘Twitter’.

Just over a month after that initial blog post Myatt himself published, on his ‘official blog’, an item in which he made mention of rumors about his death: https://davidmyatt.wordpress.com/leaves-are-showering-down/

This quashing of the rumor about his death led to some ‘ONA watchers’ to conclude that some ONA ‘insiders’ has been conducting, via the medium of the internet, either some sort of ‘sinister jape’ or some sort of ‘social experiment’.

Analysis

The people who responded to the initial post neatly divide into four categories. (1) The majority who accepted the announcement as genuine, many of whom lamented Myatt’s death and/or praised his life and writing; (2) a minority who were skeptical and asked for independent proof of the claim; (3) a few individuals who, via internet forums and private e-mails, embellished the initial report in an attempt to besmirch Myatt’s reputation; and (4) some other individuals who reproduced, via the internet, such embellished derogatory reports and/or believed them.

Thus those in categories (3) and (4) were left with egg on their face when it was shown that Myatt was alive and well and dwelling in rural England.

Among ‘ONA watchers’ the consensus now seems to be not only that

“the Myatt is dead affair was also a test designed to check whether the O9A fans believe everything that is written online […] If you start a rumor, other people will repeat it, adding some crap of their own.”

but also that the perpetrators of the hoax did not foresee that some mundane(s) would embellish that hoax with “such crap” as might denigrate Myatt.

Which assumptions apparently ignore what the real consequences of the hoax were. To quote someone with an actual ONA pedigree who posted this on an extreme ‘right-wing’ political forum:

“If this Myatt is dead hoax has proved anything it is (1) that Myatt is still held in high regard by at least some White Nationalists; and (2) that ZOG and their lackeys and agents still hate Myatt with a vengeance and will go to any lengths to discredit him given their motto of “never forget, never forgive”, and (3) that Myatt may still be ‘in our camp’ given that his philosophy of pathei mathos is, albeit a mystical and spiritual philosophy, still firmly rooted in the Western (Greco-Roman) philosophical tradition and thus is part of our Western culture.”

For many White Nationalists rounded on those among their ranks who had spread malicious rumors about Myatt, accusing them of being agents or lackeys of ZOG.

In addition, as a result of the hoax many more people have bought printed books by Myatt and undoubtedly also viewed his website and blog with some of them most probably downloading some of Myatt’s writing from those sites. As a consequence there has also been a splurge of interest in Myatt’s life, in his writings both past and current, and also – most certainly and most importantly – a splurge of interest in the ONA.

A juvenile hoax perpetrated by outsiders? Probably. Because there is no evidence the pseudonyms used belonged to the same people who had used them elsewhere in the past.

But does all the interest generated in Myatt and the ONA, the ‘egg on faces’, the exposure of ZOG agents/lackeys, mean that the hoaxers achieved what they set out to achieve? Possibly, even if they were just some ONA fan-girls conducting some social engineering experiment via the medium of the internet.

This was not what he expected. He had spent months, following his reading of The Satanic Bible, posting replies on self-described ‘satanic’ internet forums to such an extent that he – or rather his self-assumed pseudonym – had garnered a certain positive reputation among other self-described ‘satanists’ all of whom seemed to revere and regularly quote that book written as it was by a certain Howard Stanton Levey, who of course used a pseudonym in order to hide his real identity, given the plagiaristic nature of most of the contents of that mass-produced and now rather popular book.

Plying him with praise – massaging his ego – they, using the ‘private message’ facilities on such internet forums, had enticed him here on a warm albeit cloudy day in late August. Enticed, because the messages were supposedly from a young woman who had expressed an interest in him given – or so she said – his knowledge of satanism. And which messages had sometimes included a web-link to suggestive images of a certain young women.

So there he was, a mere nineteen years of age and self-assured as he was, waiting in the fading twilight for the promised tryst with that voluptuous young woman. Waiting, hoping, his head-piece filled with both sexual and egoistic dreams. There: where ancient, twisted, often moss-covered, trees of Oak had settled and grown near a long-abandoned stone quarry in the county borderland that marked the edge of the English Peak District national park.

Waited, until he could but dimly see a figure approach him. Then she and him were both smiling, if for different reasons; and he was so intent on leering at her that he neither saw nor heard the approach of those behind him: those three women who crept upon him to bind his wrists behind his back.

Of course he struggled; or tried to. Kicking out and shouting obscenities as he lay, bound, on his back. For was he not a proud satanist who believed in indulgence, in treating those who annoyed you cruelly and without mercy, in what lex talionis meant and implied? Who was he – with his youthful masculine body honed by regular training in a gym – to be subdued by mere women?

But they were mocking him before, in the twilight dark, placing a hood over his head, gagging him, and carrying him down toward a nearby narrow stream where heavy stones were placed on his legs, arms, abdomen, and chest; almost – but not quite – crushing them.

So it was that he, supine, heard a feminine voice declaim:

Here is he who believed he knew our secret:
But just look at him now and laugh
For we have so easily overcome his much-believed-in outer strength.

Now, wash your throats with sparkling wine
For Sirius returns
And we women are warm and wanton!
Before me, you were sightless:
You looked, but could not see;
Before me, you had no hearing:
You heard sounds, but could not listen.
Before me, you swarmed with men,
But did not enjoy.
But I arrived, opened my body and
Brought you lust, softness, understanding, and love.
My breasts pleased you
And brought forth darkness and much joy.

I, who crushes your enemies and who washes in a basin full of

He heard laughter, the sound of bottles of Champagne being opened, and then – not that long thereafter – felt the dreadful pain as a sharp long-bladed knife slit his throat. So he gasped, gurgled, as his life-blood drained away, some of it collected in a basin to be smeared on breasts and faces.

It is interesting and perhaps instructive to compare the stories of Joe Pierce, a former member of the National Front (NF), and David Myatt, founder of the 1970s NDFM (National Democratic Freedom Movement) and the 1990s National-Socialist Movement (NSM), convert to Islam, and public supporter of terrorism.

In summary, Pierce gained a certain notoriety in the late 1970s as editor of the NF zine Bulldog; was twice sent to prison for short periods for inciting racial hatred, became a friend of Nick Griffin, moved to Northern Ireland for a while to support Protestant groups against the IRA, then later on (as so many reprobates seem to do) found God, became a practising Catholic, was fêted by the Catholic Church, by the media, and by Establishment figures, gave public lectures, wrote about his experience, and was given a sinecure in academia. His life story is told in Race with the Devil: My Journey from Racial Hatred to Rational Love published by St. Benedict’s Press, and he is written about in glowing terms by journalists and academics alike.

In summary, Myatt was active in neo-nazi politics for some thirty years, was sent to prison twice for violence, organized and led a gang of criminals, founded the short-lived but violent NDFM, became for around two years a Catholic monk before returning to neo-nazi politics; was a member of Combat 18, founded and led the NSM; is notorious for writing the terrorist manual that inspired the London nail-bomber David Copeland; became “England’s principal proponent of contemporary neo-Nazi ideology and theoretician of revolution” {1}; has been accused of being the founder of the Occult group the Order of Nine Angles (O9A); converted to Islam and publicly supported al-Qaida and the Taliban, wrote one the most detailed defences, in English, of suicide attacks (an article used by the terrorist group Hamas), translated Ancient Greek literature, became an apostate from Islam, developed his own mystical philosophy centred about empathy and compassion. He wrote about his life in his autobiography Myngath, published in 2013 {2} and has written extensively about why he rejected extremism in books such as Understanding and Rejecting Extremism: A Very Strange Peregrination, published in 2013.

Unlike Pierce, Myatt – despite his more interesting and more violent past, his more diverse experiences over some forty years, his greater notoriety, his extensive writings as a neo-nazi ideologue, his far greater involvement with terrorism – was and is shunned by Establishment figures, is ignored by academics, and when mentioned by journalists or in mainstream books it is often in a derogatory and/or prejudiced manner and often accompanied by the unproven allegation of him being involved with the O9A.

Why the disparity, given that both by their own admission are reformed racists who regret their extremist pasts? Why the disparity in their treatment by the Establishment especially as Myatt is considered as having been “one of the more interesting figures on the British neo-Nazi scene since the 1970s” {3}{4}{5} whose active involvement with extremism lasted for some forty years while Pierce was a minor figure on the far-right whose involvement with extremism lasted for a far shorter period of time.

My surmise is that the disparity is due to the fact that Pierce is now part of the Establishment – a publicly repentant sinner who has accepted the Christian God and who continues to write, and continues to publicly speak about, what the Establishment approves of – while Myatt is a recluse whose mystical philosophy (the way of pathei-mathos) is essentially pagan. In addition, there is (i) the fact that Myatt has made – both as a neo-nazi and as a radical Muslim – powerful and influential enemies whose mottos are “Never again” and “Never forget, never forgive”, and (ii) that Myatt’s neo-nazi writings (despite his disavowal of them) still resonant with some people within the neo-nazi community, and (iii) that so many people within the modern Satanist and Occult movements continue to believe (without any evidence) that Myatt is Anton Long and the founder of and the driving force behind the subversive, anti-Establishment, Order of Nine Angles.

Myatt thus seems to have become, by some individuals involved with some sub-cultures (occult and otherwise) not only some sort of iconoclastic anti-Establishment figure but also disliked and reviled by many more individuals around the world who have apparently developed a prejudice against him. Thus Pierce is given the benefit of the doubt, and believed, while Myatt is not.

Unless and until there is a critical, scholarly, biography (or two) of Myatt then this prejudiced view of Myatt by so many people is unlikely to change in any significant way. But what is certain is that his many detractors do aid the growth of the now well-established ‘Myatt mythos’.
