Covid-19: The Propaganda Continues

°°°°°°°

Covid-19:
Government Tyranny And Propaganda Continue

The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed three things. First, the sweeping powers that all Western so-called democratic governments have to introduce draconian restrictions on the lives of ordinary people. Second, how those governments can launch and continue with massive propaganda campaigns to persuade the majority of citizens that the draconian restrictions are necessary; and third, how the majority of citizens not only believe the government propaganda but meekly accept the restrictions.

In effect, Western governments have created tyrannical societies where there is constant unopposed government propaganda and where the draconian restrictions on the lives of ordinary people are enforced by the police, with no end-date set for the lifting of such restrictions.

All of which do not bode well for the future of Western societies and the future of the peoples of Western lands. In just over a month Western societies have gone from vibrant, outgoing, bustling places to grim, almost Soviet-like, drab places where the people are told to “stay at home” and bombarded with slogans such as that those who break the government imposed “lockdown” are irresponsible and will be responsible for killing people. In its latest propaganda initiative, the British government – via politicone Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care – announced that it will introduce “immunity certificates” which allow selected, government approved, citizens to resume life beyond the confines of their homes.

There is little public dissent to all this. No organized resistance. Few dissidents who dare to publicly contradict government propaganda and government generated hysteria.

For instance, and to place government propaganda into perspective, the British government and its propagandists talk and write about “saving lives” when so far (2 April, 2020) the Covid-19 pandemic has caused only around 3,000 deaths in Britain, most of whom were elderly or had underlying health problems. Yet in the past, before this pandemic, around 600,000 people in Britain died every year, many of them elderly, with over 90% of people who contract the Covid-19 virus surviving and suffering only mild symptoms with the mortality rate from Covid-19 thus being only a few percent greater than that of yearly influenza epidemics.

In regard to those yearly 600,000 deaths did a British government panic and introduce tyrannical measures which severely disrupted normal life and our society? No. Because of those 600,000 yearly deaths did the government and the media try to brainwash we the people with messages about “staying safe” and about staying at home? No.

Even if, as the government and its well-paid advisers and its well-paid sycophantic “experts” claim – in contradiction to the actual survival rate – there might be around 250,000 deaths from Covid-19, then do such extra deaths justify an unprecedented tyrannical regime, an unprecedented disruption of our societies, of our ordinary lives? No.

For death – from natural, from unnatural, causes, from disease, and from epidemics and pandemics – is a fact of human life, of human history. As is the fact that Western governments and their policies and through war have, in the past, killed far far more people than could ever be killed by the recent pandemic: at least 50 million people killed, for example, in the two world wars between 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.

During those wars, when people were dying at a far greater rate than are being killed by Covid-19, did the Western governments of the time disrupt our societies in the way they have now disrupted our societies? No. For they did not close pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, cinemas; they did not forbid outdoor sporting events; they did not ban public concerts and events. They did not tell people to “stay at home”.

The fact of the matter is that the Covid-19 pandemic is not a new Black Death, not a plague in which the morality rate is over 90%. It is – with its survival rate of over 90% – just one more pandemic which as our history reveals we human beings are occasionally subject to and suffer from. In other words, it is a fact of Nature; a reality of our biological nature.

For millennia, we have survived such occurrences without nationwide propaganda campaigns and without the government or the potentates of the time severely disrupting our societies, our ordinary lives. As Nietzsche wrote: Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker.

That the majority of our peoples seem to not know, or ignore, this natural and necessary truth – such wisdom as created and maintained our current Western societies – I find astonishing.

A Progressive Awareness

David Myatt

°°°°°°°

An Icon Of Nihilism?

The French author Bertrand Vergely – who teaches at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris – wrote in his 2019 book Notre vie a un sens: Une sagesse contre le pessimisme ambiant, that his “philosophy of Pathei-Mathos [is] probably very close to that of David Myatt – an inflammatory reference according to [modern] dogma…..” {1}

That Vergely has borrowed Myatt’s phrase “philosophy of pathei-mathos” (a term used by Myatt from 2011) and mentioned that even referencing Myatt is an inflammatory thing to do, is interesting. As is the attempt by Vergely to distance “his” philosophy from Myatt’s by stating he does not endorse either some of the things that Myatt once endorsed (and has since rejected) or which Myatt’s enemies have accused him of endorsing.

Interesting because it reveals a progressive awareness of Myatt’s philosophy, and because of how propaganda about and rumours concerning Myatt – for example, by anti-fascist groups – have not only increased in recent years but also been believed by thousands upon thousands of people even through there is no evidence – nothing probative – to support such propaganda and rumours, leading rational folk to conclude that such believers and such anti-fascist propagandists are biased and prejudiced.

Biased and prejudiced because they have not bothered to read Myatt’s extensive post-2011 writings about his rejection of extremism {2} and his extensive post-2011 writings about his philosophy of pathei-mathos with its foundations of empathy, compassion, and humility, {3} or if they have bothered to read a few them they have dismissed them as the deceptive work of a Trickster, of an “evil mastermind”, with the result that David Myatt now seems to be perceived as an iconoclast and is progressing to become a modern icon for heretical rebellion against the capitalist West, for antinomianism, and for nihilism.

Obsessed With Mr Myatt

O9A. One Image, Ten Thousand Words

O9A Insight Role

It is now apparent that the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group – a Maltese immigrant to England, a Zionist lover, and a recipient of money from Jewish billionaire George Soros – is obsessed both with a certain Mr Myatt and with the Occult movement, the anarchist sub-culture, the O9A, which the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group alleges Myatt created and is still a part of.

Hence his March 2020 (and libelous) rant on the “buzzsprout” media platform; {1} his desire to see that Occult movement banned as a “terrorist organization”; and his lies and disinformation and allegations about both that Occult movement and about Mr Myatt. {2}

That his lies and disinformation and allegations are and have been blandly repeated by the Media is indicative of the nature of the modern Media given that the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group has presented nothing probative to support his lies, his disinformation and his allegations.

A while ago we challenged the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group to provide actual evidence, and even mentioned an active e-mail address where we might be contacted {3}.

Of course he neither provided actual evidence nor contacted us. Which reaffirmed to us and others his hateful, prejudiced, and hypocritical, nature: in public, he presents himself as a champion of “hope not hate” while he continues to not only make allegations about those he personally dislikes, and is prejudiced against, but also fails to provide actual evidence for his malicious allegations. {4}

As we previously asked of him:

“in regard to your allegations about the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA) have you studied the O9A corpus and such texts as the 300 page Seofonfeald Paeth trilogy? {5} If not, then your views about the O9A are – it seems to us, et al – as prejudiced as your views about Myatt.”

As Mr Myatt was fond of quoting: Δίκα δὲ τοῖς μὲν παθοῦσιν μαθεῖν ἐπιρρέπει, [The Goddess] Fairness favours someone learning from adversity.

{1} Update, March 13, 2020: He repeats his pernicious allegations – for which, yet again, he provides no evidence, on a video uploaded to the Facebook page of his political advocacy group.

{2} One pernicious allegation that the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group regurgitates is that of “cat strangler”, which Myatt has many times refuted: see, for example, p. 217 of the book Encyclopedia of White Power: A Sourcebook on the Radical Racist Right edited by Jeffrey S. Kaplan and published in 2000.

See also https://web.archive.org/web/20091130205840/http://www.davidmyatt.ws/rumors-about-myatt.html which includes the following:

“There is a lot of disinformation about me on the Internet and in various books; and many unsubstantiated rumours…

In such matters, the principle of personal honour applies, for an honourable person would either ignore such disinformation, rumours and allegations, or seek to ask, in person and in private, the individual who is the subject of such things. This is the honourable thing to do, the gentlemanly and lady-like thing to do, and those who do not do this – for whatever reason and from whatever motive – are acting dishonourably… Unfortunately, in these un-numinous times we live in and endure, people of manners – those who behave in a gentlemanly and lady-like way – are a minority…

Thus, in many ways, such rumours and allegations about me are a good test of a person’s character: of their honour and their loyalty…”

In addition, both the police and the RSPCA interviewed Myatt in 1974 shortly after the allegation of animal cruelty was made in a local newspaper, with both the Police and the RSPCA concluding that the allegation was pure journalistic invention, a smear designed to discredit Myatt, who at the time was heavily-involved in the notoriously violent neo-nazi group, the NDFM, and who had, the previous year, been released from prison after serving a prison sentence for violence.

That the so-called “chief executive” of a certain political advocacy group regurgitates such an old and discredited allegation makes one wonder if he was one of the MOACs [Myatt Obsessed Anonymous Cowards] who trolled the internet over a decade ago making allegations about Myatt.

In regard to that 1974 newspaper article, Myatt wrote – in his Towards Identity and the Galactic Empire: Autobiographical Notes, Part One, dated JD2452991.767, that it,

“made sensational claims about me. I had in my naivety decided to give an interview (my first) with a journalist to talk about our new NS movement, the NDFM. I briefly mentioned how it might be possible for chaos to be created by subversive means, and subversive groups, as a prelude to a revolution which an NS movement could take advantage of, just as I made one passing reference to having a theoretical interest in “the Occult” and to having considered investigating it further. The journalist promised to let me read his final copy before it was published and several photographs of me were taken, with him suggesting I hold something to do with the Occult, which I again naively did. Our conversation lasted for about half an hour, during which he took a few notes (it was not recorded).

I assumed in my innocence that he would simply recount what I had said. Of course he neither showed me the article before publication, nor printed what I said, except for one short sentence about causing chaos. The whole article was a fabrication, designed to be sensationalist and to discredit me. This whole episode was to be a very interesting, worthwhile, experience for me: a learning from experience, as Aeschylus wrote.” Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20040419193109/http://www.geocities.com/davidmyatt/notes1.html

More Lies About The O9A

O9A. One Image, Ten Thousand Words

O9A Insight Role

°°°°°°°°°

Anti-Fascist Watch #2
More Anti-Fascist Lies

With the recent (June 2019) jailing of two young members of a British neo-nazi group for “terrorism” offences, an anti-fascist Zionist financed group based in England with connections to British Members of Parliament, to mainstream newspapers and to television companies has stepped up their smear campaign against the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA) repeating and adding to the baseless accusations and lies that they wrote about the O9A in their February 2019 report about the so-called “state of hate” and which report was widely publicized and widely quoted from in mainstream media.

As in that biased propaganda report {1}, in their latest piece of smear propaganda they again try to link the O9A to paedophilia and to the promotion of misogyny and rape. They also write that “paraphernalia connected to the Order of Nine Angles […] were found at the home” of someone accused of being a member of the now banned neo-nazi group National Action, and that “British neo-Nazis are morphing into Satanic rape gangs.”

In respect of their lie in their February 2019 report that “O9A literature regularly advocates ritualised rape,” we wrote

[quote] A study of the O9A corpus from the 1980s to 2018 – from the pro-Sapphic novel Breaking The Silence Down to the essay The Anti-Patriarchal O9A Ethos – reveals the O9A attitude toward women, with the O9A code of kindred honour embodying respect for women and gender equality and with the O9A having [according to an academic] “more female supporters than either the Church of Satan or the Temple of Set [and] more women with children.”

Nowhere in the corpus of O9A texts written by Anton Long between the 1970s and 2011 does the O9A advocate rape.

In fact the O9A consider rapists as suitable candidates for culling. [/quote] {2}

We even helpfully provided a link to an O9A text distributed in 2015 which suggested that rapists are indeed suitable candidates for culling. {3}

Furthermore, several O9A documents refute the smear, the lie, that the O9A condones and encourages paedophilia, with one O9A text written in 122 yf – 2011 ev – making it clear “that individuals of certain proclivities, involving children, are regarded by us as dishonourable individuals who most certainly are not of our kind.” {4}

As befits their anti-fascist fanaticism, the Zionist financed group continue to use the Big Lie (große Lüge) technique, not only repeating their allegation that Myatt is involved with the O9A while failing to provide and evidence whatsoever but also continuing to attribute quotations by other people to Myatt, again failing to provide any evidence for their allegation. {5}

As befits their simplistic way of thinking, the writers of the Zionist financed anti-fascist group also continue to commit the logical fallacy of secundum quid et simpliciter. Which is the use of particular individual cases to form a general rule to then use that rule to describe, and thence to blame, or to castigate, or to defame a whole group.

Thus they illogically and propagandistically take the example of a few individuals with certain personal proclivities and fantasies, and who may support some aspects of O9A occult philosophy and praxis, as representative of the O9A as a whole.

Meanwhile, as befits their lack of even the most basic research – and/or their desire to place lies and propaganda and hate before truth and hope – these anti-fascist fanatics continue to ignore the fact that the O9A, esoterically understood and appreciated, is at its core neither neo-nazi nor ‘satanist’ but is a sinisterly-numinous occult tradition which

“is concerned with individuals undertaking an often decades-long hermetic anados (ἄνοδος) by which they might discover Lapis Philosophicus and thus acquire wisdom. A practical anados manifest in the O9A Seven Fold Way.” {6}

David Myatt And The Jews

Abdul-Aziz ibn Myatt

Abdul-Aziz ibn Myatt

°°°°°°°

The following extract from an article published in January 2019 in the prestigious academic journal Studies in Conflict & Terrorism provides an interesting analysis of Myatt’s move from National Socialism to Islam.

Add to this analysis the fact of Myatt’s life-long belief that the Shoah is a modern myth and it is not surprising that he was and still is hated, reviled and the target of false, malicious and libellous allegations by Zionists, by anti-fascists, by Establishment journalists, and by others.

°°°°°

{begin quote}

Myatt eventually lost hope in the far right’s ability to combat Zionism […] He explained that he now believed there would never be a successful uprising “in any Western nation, by nationalists, racial nationalists, or National Socialists because these people lack the desire, the motivation, the ethos, to do this and because they do not have the support of even a large minority of their own folk.”

This disillusion contributed to Myatt’s turn to Islam. [He] drew a straight-line connection between his fight against the Jewish people as a neo-Nazi and as a Muslim.

Much of Myatt’s public writing during his time as a Muslim focused on encouraging enemies of the Jewish people to unite under a single banner. He exhorted “all enemies of the Zionists to embrace the Jihad,” referred to Islam as the “true martial religion,” and claimed that it “will most effectively fight against the Jews and the Americans.” Myatt praised Osama bin Laden, describing the al-Qaeda leader as “an exemplary warrior who has forsaken a life of luxury to pursue his Islamic duty.”

[The] thrust of his argument [was] that “the primary battle against the Zionist occupation government (ZOG) has shifted from the West to the Islamic world.”

Myatt provides an example of how one’s commitment to anti-Semitism can bridge the ideological divide between Nazism and jihadism.

Questions For Anti-Fascists

David Myatt

°°°°°°°

Given that we know the political anti-fascist “pressure group” styling itself “Hope not Hate” monitor this blog, we the RDM Crew have some questions for them given their Media hyped 2019 report in which they, without providing any evidence whatsoever, made libellous assumptions that David Myatt was still a neo-nazi and that he was involved with the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA).

We wonder what answer they have to items such as (i) Analysing National Socialism and (ii) Selected Essays And Effusions and (iii) Extremism And Reformation and (iv) Catholic Still In Spirit?

Will so-called “Hope not Hate” in their prejudice, and with their anti-fascist hatred, propagandistically declare that “David Myatt is a liar” and that such Myattian works are some sort of “sinister ploy” designed to defect attention away from what they claim is his so-called “satanist” agenda? Or will they in their paranoia and in their hatred – and yet again without providing any evidence – claim that any author who accepts Myatt’s rejection of neo-nazism and extremism is Myatt himself or some O9A-aligned satanist?

If so, then perhaps they would comment on the following which appeared in the prestigious academic journal Studies in Conflict & Terrorism:

“Myatt eventually came to reject both Islam and extremism in favor of a new philosophical outlook that he dubbed the Way of Pathei-Mathos.” {1}

That those anti-fascists – and others like them – have never provided any evidence for their claims and their assumptions that Myatt’s post-2011 rejection of extremism is fake, nor their claims that he is a Satanist, is indicative of just how propagandistic and how politically motivated – and how dishonourable – their anti-fascist claims and assumptions about Myatt seem to be.

That “Hope not Hate” – et al – give former extremists such as Joe Pearce the benefit of the doubt {2} while claiming that Myatt is a manipulate lair is both interesting and seems to be indicative of their prejudice, their hatred, their anti-fascist bias. So much therefore for their propagandistic claim to represent “hope” not “hate”. For a Christian hope would surely give Myatt the benefit of the doubt.

However, given that their much Media hyped 2019 propagandistic report contained over twelve basic errors about the O9A and Myatt {3} we do not expect them, prejudiced and hateful as they seem to be, to either acknowledge their mistakes or to ever give David Myatt the benefit of the doubt.

Extremism And Reformation
(pdf)

°°°°°

From the Preface,

The genesis of the compilation of essays was, as mentioned in the included essay A Premature Grieving, the publication in 2019, by a political advocacy group, of various unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation about me and the subsequent repetition of such allegations and disinformation by some mainstream newspapers and media outlets.

The unsubstantiated allegations and the disinformation concerned my supposed continuing involvement with extremism, specifically neo-nazism; it being apparent that neither the political advocacy group nor the newspapers and media which repeated the allegations and the disinformation had bothered to read my extensive post-2011 writings about rejecting extremism and about seeking expiation for my decades-long extremist past.

This compilation of essays is my reply to those unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation.

David Myatt, National Socialism, And The O9A

David Myatt

David Myatt, National Socialism, And The Order Of Nine Angles

°°°°°°°°°

Part One
Is David Myatt Still A Neo-Nazi?

While the question “is David Myatt still a neo-nazi” has been asked many times over the past six or seven years – with academics such as Senholt seeming to answer in the affirmative [1] and with Myatt himself consistently denying that he is – many items written by Myatt since 2010, and his reclusive lifestyle since 2010, seem to indicate that he is no longer a neo-nazi.

These items include his 2013 book about extremism titled Understanding and Rejecting Extremism: A Very Strange Peregrination; his autobiography Myngath; essays such as Persecution And War mentioned below in Part Two, as well as the articles he published in 2012 which were directly critical of National Socialism, the Third Reich, and Adolf Hitler [2] and which criticism led to one liberal and pro-Zionist website to describe Myatt as “having a change of heart” [3].

In one of those critical essays, Hitler, National-Socialism, and Politics – A Personal Reappraisal, he writes:

“There is thus, based on applying the moral criteria of The Numinous Way, a complete rejection by me of National-Socialism – of whatever kind – and an understanding of Hitler as a flawed individual who caused great suffering and whose actions and policies where dishonourable and immoral.”

In his essay Pathei-Mathos, Genesis of My Unknowing, quoted in the aforementioned book, he writes:

“For what I painfully, slowly, came to understand, via pathei-mathos, was the importance – the human necessity, the virtue – of love, and how love expresses or can express the numinous in the most sublime, the most human, way. Of how extremism (of whatever political or religious or ideological kind) places some abstraction, some ideation, some notion of duty to some ideation, before a personal love, before a knowing and an appreciation of the numinous. Thus does extremism – usurping such humanizing personal love – replace human love with an extreme, an unbalanced, an intemperate, passion for something abstract: some ideation, some ideal, some dogma, some ‘victory’, some-thing always supra-personal and always destructive of personal happiness, personal dreams, personal hopes; and always manifesting an impersonal harshness: the harshness of hatred, intolerance, certitude-of-knowing, unfairness, violence, prejudice.

Thus, instead of a natural and a human concern with what is local, personal and personally known, extremism breeds a desire to harshly interfere in the lives of others – personally unknown and personally distant – on the basis of such a hubriatic certitude-of-knowing that strife and suffering are inevitable. For there is in all extremists that stark lack of personal humility, that unbalance, that occurs when – as in all extremisms – what is masculous is emphasized and idealized and glorified to the detriment (internal, and external) of what is muliebral.” [4]

It is interesting and perhaps indicative that such forthright statements by him, such essays and books of his written since 2012, have been ignored by those who continue to propagate the claim that Myatt is still a neo-nazi and involved with the Occult movement the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA). [5]

Indicative because of the propagandistic nature of the claim for which no facts which have probative value – no evidence – is ever presented, and interesting because for those propagandists and the many others who have not taken the trouble to read Myatt’s extensive post-2012 writings the question of whether Myatt is still a neo-nazi is inseparably bound up with two questions about the O9A.

Which two questions are: (1) is the O9A a neo-nazi Occult movement?, and (2) is David Myatt really Anton Long, founder of the O9A, author of over 95% of its texts, creator of its ‘Seven Fold Way’ and who, as Grand Master, still operates behind the scenes despite having (apparently) retired?

The propagandists – such as those in the special interest political pressure group named Hope Not Hate (HnH) which is adept at manufacturing and spreading “fake news” (that is, propaganda and disinformation) about those they consider are their enemies [6] – claim that the O9A is neo-nazi, that Myatt is Anton Long and is still active in the O9A. Yet such purveyors of propaganda and disinformation never provide any evidence for their claims with their “fake news” replete with factual errors, revealing of a lack of detailed research or often a lack of any research at all, and often based on logical fallacies such as consensus gentium, the fallacy of incomplete evidence, argumentum ad populum, argumentum ad verecundiam, secundum quid et simpliciter, and of course on argumentum ad hominem.

Hence why for example in the five pages devoted to the O9A and to Myatt in the recent 2019 report issued by HnH, there are at least fourteen factual errors [6], no evidence for their disinformation that Myatt is Anton Long and still a neo-nazi, and a complete lack of understanding of, a lack of research into, the nature of the O9A based as their propagandistic and often sensationalist claims about the O9A are on the fallacy of incomplete evidence, consensus gentium, and secundum quid et simpliciter.

This lack of research into the O9A and the committal of such fallacies are obvious in the fact that “insight roles” and “culling” and Occult ceremonies are not considered in that report in the context of the individualistic and decades-long Seven Fold Way with its aim of attaining Lapis Philosophicus. Which context reveals “insight roles” and “culling” and Occult ceremonies in texts such as the Black Book of Satan occupy only around a year forming as they do some of the tasks of the External Adept, the third stage of the Seven Fold Way. [7]

The lack of research and the committal of such fallacies by propagandists and many others are also obvious in the fact that, as a study of the O9A corpus reveals [8], for the O9A exoteric ideas such as neo-nazism and satanism are considered as merely useful causal forms, as abstractions, with a practical involvement with such causal forms forming just a small part of the possible learning experiences that an External Adept may find useful.

For correctly understood, via a thorough study of the O9A corpus, the O9A is neither satanist nor neo-nazi and as a practical movement in the real world is based more on anarchy than on anything else. [9]

To conclude, my research into the O9A and into the life and the post-2012 writings of David Myatt convinces me that he is not now a neo-nazi, not involved with the O9A, with the O9A itself being an anarchic Occult movement which has no leader and which espouses an individualistic and anarchic praxis.

Part Two
The Myattian Saga Continues

In the decades long and on-going saga of whether or not David Myatt is or was Anton Long of Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A) fame {1} some of Mr Myatt’s latest writings are intriguing and seem to provide more proof that, as he has maintained all along, he is not and was not Anton Long, founder of the O9A, author of most of its vast Occult corpus, and “paramount to the whole creation and existence of the ONA.” {2}

These latest writings of his include the two part In Defence Of The Catholic Church {3} and his Persecution And War {4}. His In Defence Of The Catholic Church as the title indicates is a defence of the Catholic Church, and in particular in respect of allegations of sexual abuse by priests and monks. The article is based on his personal experience of the Catholic religion from boy to Catholic monk. His Persecution And War is a fascinating, if somewhat annoyingly brief, autobiographical account of some of his experiences as a visiting Catholic in Northern Ireland during The Troubles and of how those experiences helped him when he came to develop his philosophy of pathei mathos.

In part one of In Defence Of The Catholic Church he has many positive things to say about the Catholic Church. Mentioning some medieval liturgical music he writes that he is

“so reminded how the Roman Catholic Church inspired such numinosity, such beauty, century following century. For it is as if such music presenced the Divine to thus remind us, we fallible error-prone mortals, of another realm beyond the material and beyond our own mortal desires.”

He goes on to write that he

“from personal experience appreciate[s] that for all its many faults – recent and otherwise – and despite my disagreement regarding some of its teachings it still on balance does, at least in my fallible opinion, presence – as it has for centuries presenced – aspects of the numinous and which presencing has over centuries, again in my fallible opinion, had a beneficial affect on many human beings.”

He then recounts a journey of his in Africa, commenting about the Christian folk he met that he

“admired them and respected their belief and understood what that faith seemed to have given them. Who was – who am – I to try and preach to them, to judge them and that faith? I was – I am – just one fallible human being who believes he may have some personal and fallible answers to certain questions; just one person among billions aware of his past arrogance and his suffering-causing mistakes.”

As for the allegations of sexual abuse made against priests and monks he is adamant, based on his personal experiences as a Catholic and especially as a Catholic monk, that “they, and the few others like them over the years, were the exception” and that those who believe otherwise commit the logical fallacy of a dicto secundum quid ad dictum simpliciter, which basically is to use particular individual cases to form a general rule to then use that rule to describe, and thence to blame, or to castigate, or to defame a whole group. {5}

Such statements by Myatt regarding Catholicism, and such personal feelings as he describes, are not those of a Satanist and not those of someone who associating with the O9A is expected to despise both Christianity in all its forms and Christians themselves. {6}

Part two of his In Defence Of The Catholic Church presents a theological defence of the actions, the response, of the Catholic hierarchy when cases of sexual abuse by priests and monks were made known to them. This is the more interesting part of his article since this theological defence is not only clearly explained by Myatt but also has seldom featured in all the media and other criticism of the response of the Catholic hierarchy.

Myatt’s argument is that in regard to the individuals involved, the Catholic church has a higher spiritual responsibility. Which is to consider and take care of their eternal souls and thus apply the Catholic “sacrament of penance and reconciliation” to them.

Naturally in the modern world of the capitalist West with its secular governments and secular laws this theological view is not popular. Nor a view which many would even consider or understand. Which explains why some States in America, and governments in other lands, have tried to introduce secular laws to break such things as the Catholic “seal of the confessional”. {7}

That Myatt presents and defends a Christian theological argument is not something a Satanist nor someone associating with the O9A would do.

In his Persecution And War Myatt uses his “Catholic remembering” – of Catholic civilians killed by the British army in Northern Ireland – to make a point about prejudice, intolerance, and propaganda, concluding that

“the real tragedy is that events similar to those of my very personal remembering have occurred on a vaster scale millennia after millennia and are still occurring, again on a vaster scale and world-wide, despite us having access to the wisdom of the past.”

These again are not the kind of things a Satanist nor someone associating with the O9A would write.

One final point deserves mentioning. The erudite nature of the articles. There are, as to be expected with Myatt, quotations from the ancient Greek together with his own translations, quotations in Old English and Latin as well as detailed explanations of terms such as “sin” in relation to the New Testament with relevant quotations from the Greek New Testament again with his own translations.

Conclusion

It is conceivable that believers in the Myatt=Long theory, who exist both outside and within the O9A and who seem intent on demonizing Myatt if for different reasons, will in support of that theory claim that someone who was O9A might be devious enough – à la O9A year long Insight Roles – to pretend to write or act as someone who has a diametrically opposite personal character or life to his or her own. Hence someone O9A dialectically praising Christianity.

The fundamental flaw to such a claim in respect of Myatt is that he has been writing similar and consistent things about Christianity, Catholicism, and about prejudice and intolerance since at least 2011, and since then has also penned voluminous other writings about his philosophy of pathei mathos, about compassion, humility, and extremism which echo the sentiments found in the recent writings we have been discussing.

As someone wrote in this regard in 2016,

“All these sentiments, these feelings, are so consistent over so many years, chime so well with his poetry, with the feelings that run through his pre-2009 letters, with his autobiography Myngath, and with post-2011 writings about his philosophy of pathei-mathos, that it seems inconceivable to me that they are artful constructions – fakes – by someone else (or some others) or the product of some ‘sinister trickster’ who has consciously adopted a certain persona in order to try and fool people. Also, what they express is a mysticism, a reverence for and an appreciation of the numinous, so at odds with the ethos and the practice of Satanism – of whatever variety – that it is also inconceivable that they were written by a Satanist or even by a practising Occultist.” {8}

One has for instance only to read essays by Myatt such as his Numinous Expiation {9} and Catholic Still In Spirit? {10} and his book Understanding and Rejecting Extremism {11} to appreciate this.

These latest writings therefore on balance provide more proof that Myatt is not and was not Anton Long. As I wrote in my article Demonizing Mr Myatt,

“The demonizers of Myatt have ignored such things because those things reveal a very different Myatt. One at odds with the ‘sinister’ image of him they have all in their own way strived to manufacture and have propagated in pursuit of their aims. For the image of Myatt that emerges from his poetry and his post 2011 writings is of a reclusive man who regrets his extremist past, who values virtues such as empathy and compassion.” {12}

Myatt And Gladio

O9A. One Image, Ten Thousand Words

°°°°°°°°°

Myatt, The O9A, And Gladio

In February 2019, a conspiracy-theorist – writing on a German-language internet media outlet – made mention of the Order of Nine Angles and David Myatt in connection with the NATO anti-communist paramilitary Gladio “stay-behind” network.

Apparently, the Gladio network was “the best-kept, and most damaging, political-military secret since World War II” {1}.

Referencing a 2014 article in the Guardian newspaper titled Satanic panic: how British agents stoked supernatural fears in Troubles {2} the conspiracy-theorist alleged that Myatt was behind that particular “satanic panic” with the innuendo being that Myatt was working for British military intelligence and part of that psychological warfare operation (Psy Ops), which ran from 1972 to 1974, with it rumoured that Myatt founded the O9A in the same year as that PsyOp began.

quote1

While Myatt’s involvement with Column 88 in the 1970s and 1980s is documented in his autobiography Myngath, by academics {3}{4}{5} and in other articles {6} the conspiracy-theorist goes on to suggest a connection between Myatt and Michael Aquino of the Temple of Set.

quote2

This is all good conspiracy theory stuff. Aiding both the O9A and the Myatt mythoi. As do other stories about The Occult Phantom Menace known as the O9A. As did the Quietus article late last year with its description of Myatt as “a former mercenary and bodyguard to fascist British Movement leader Colin Jordan” who has the “lifelong aim of destroying Judeo-Christian culture,” and with the O9A being described as having around 2,000 adherents worldwide.

Can there be such a thing as a bad press, a conspiracy theory too bizarre, an innuendo too far, for an Occult movement espousing “a dangerous and extreme form of Satanism” {7} which has maintained for over forty years that human sacrifice is part of Satanism and which promotes infiltration of and involvement with extremist political and religious groups? No.

Have forty years of criticism of and forty years of anti-O9A propaganda by self-described “satanists” and mundanes adversely affected the O9A? No.

Has the association of the O9A with neo-nazism adversely affected the O9A? No.

For we are just one of many nexions who interpret O9A esoteric philosophy as anti-Magian in essence and National Socialist in exoteric practice and as required by the O9A’s Sinister Dialectic.

Twelve Basic Errors

°°°°°°°°°

Order of Nine Angles

O9A

°°°°°°°°°

Exposing Twelve Basic Errors
Or, How To Spread Fake News

In a recent report much quoted in mainstream Media the anti-fascist ‘special interest’ group calling itself “Hope not hate” devoted two sections (pages 80-85) to the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA) and David Myatt.

The shoddy and propagandistic – the “fake news” – nature of the report is evident in the fact that in those two sections there are over twelve basic, factual, errors ranging from outright fabrications to misquotations.

Another fundamental – damning – flaw is that various O9A and other articles are quoted but without providing references to the date and place of publication and without giving the name of the author on the original text with some articles which are falsely attributed to Myatt having been written by others.

Other fundamental flaws are that the author of the sections on the O9A and Myatt provided no evidence for their many assumptions (such as that Myatt=Long) and did not balance their claims by asking those they libelled for their comments.

That the mainstream Media published articles which extensively quoted from the pages about the O9A and Myatt in the report yet did not have its journalists ask those maligned by the report for comments, and did not have its journalists check the facts beforehand, is indicative of how even the mainstream Media is complicit in spreading “fake news”.

Had a mainstream journalist or journalists bothered to check the facts they would have found the following.

§ Quote: “For Myatt, satanism and fascism are inextricably linked.” p.84

A fabrication by the author, since Myatt in his extensive critique of Occultism first published in 1997 by Renaissance Press in New Zealand wrote:

“National-Socialism and Occultism are fundamentally, and irretrievably, incompatible and opposed to each other.” {1}

§ The author gives a quote allegedly written by Myatt: “National Socialism is the only real theory in existence, since it is based solely on the highest ideals of Honour, Loyalty and Duty, championed over and above selfish individual pursuits. It calls for a revolution of the Soul; a Triumph of the Will; a return of racial pride and defiance. In a very important sense, National Socialism IS contemporary Paganism.” p.84

The author not only misquotes the original text but mistakenly attributes it to Myatt.

° The correct quotation is:

“National Socialism (with the esoteric exception of Traditional Satanism) is the only real Heresy in existence, since it is based solely on the highest ideals of Honour, Loyalty and Duty, championed over and above selfish individual pursuits. It calls for a revolution of the Soul; a Triumph of the Will; a return of racial pride and defiance – of all that epitomizes the genuine Western ethos. It is a form that cannot be bought by The System, and thus the only option for the latter is to jail or kill National Socialists, and smash through innumerable legislative variations National Socialist influence, naturally dormant in the Western – or Aryan – people. It is the only form which frightens The System, and is thus the only form capable of achieving System Breakdown.”

The quotation is from a Temple 88 newsletter published in a compilation by Caput Mortuum in May 2004 via a now defunct website. {2}

° In addition and importantly, according to the Anti-Defamation League

“the berserker brotherhood is a relatively new motorcycle division of temple 88, a white supremacist group that describes itself as a brotherhood of white separatists. The berserker brotherhood colors have a skull in the middle of an iron cross, flanked on the right by the number 88. One anonymous berserker brotherhood member claimed on a social networking Web site that temple 88 originally formed in South Carolina’s Allendale Correctional Institute.” {3}

§ Quote: “The three volumes of The Black Book of Satan are considered so extreme that they are kept is a special section of the British Library and not available to the general public.” p.81

In fact, only two versions of the first volume are kept in the British Library. The first version was published in 1984 and is at General Reference Collection Cup.815/51.

The second version was published in 1992 under the title Codex Saerus and is at General Reference Collection YK.1994.b.12337.

Other O9A items kept in the British Library include the rare edition of Naos: a practical guide to modern magick published by Coxland Press in 1990, available at General Reference Collection YK.1993.a.13307.

§ Quote: “O9A literature regularly advocates ritualised rape, random attacks on innocent victims.” p.81

A fabrication by the author.

A study of the O9A corpus from the 1980s to 2018 – from the pro-Sapphic novel Breaking The Silence Down {4} to the essay The Anti-Patriarchal O9A Ethos {5} – reveals the O9A attitude toward women, with the O9A code of kindred honour embodying respect for women and gender equality {5} and with the O9A having “more female supporters than either the Church of Satan or the Temple of Set [and] more women with children.” {6}

Nowhere in the corpus of O9A texts written by “Anton Long” between the 1970s and 2011 does the O9A advocate rape.

In fact the O9A consider rapists as suitable candidates for culling {7}.

In addition, nowhere in the corpus of O9A texts written by “Anton Long” between the 1970s and 2011 does the O9A advocate random attacks on innocent victims.

§ Quote: “The ceremony ends with the killing of a chosen one; in a symbolic sacrifice, an animal replaces a person.” p.81

The ceremony in question is The Ceremony of Recalling and nowhere is there any mention of sacrificing an animal, which is fabrication by the author. The ceremony is included in the text Grimoire of Baphomet.

In addition, O9A texts dating from the 1980s and 1990s reveal that they “despise animal sacrifice.” {8}

§ Quote: “When asked in 2005 if the O9A were posing as nazis to recruit and spread their message, Myatt – writing under the name Darkos Lago – responded: You seem to have missed the point about ONA and National Socialism.” p. 82

Where is the evidence for the propagandistic assumption that Myatt used that or any other pseudonym? The author provides no evidence whatsoever.

In addition, rhe author not only gets the year wrong but misattributes the quote. The post was published in 2016 on the “right-wing” Stormfront internet forum by Dark Logos not by Darkos Lago {9}.

§ Quote: “To Myatt, Satanism represented the Black Order, the only force that could unlock the stranglehold [of] the White Order.” p. 84

A fabrication, for Myatt does not mention a “Black Order” and a “White Order” in any of his writings, be such writings from his time as a National Socialist (1968-1998), as a Muslim (1998-2009) or as an advocate of his numinous way/philosophy of pathei-mathos (2010-present).

Neither does “Anton Long” mention a “Black Order” and a “White Order” in any of his writings.

§ Quote: “In an interview as recently as 2013, Myatt explained their strategy. “Insofar as I understand the matter, it seems that the ‘satanic’ overtones of the ONA serves several subversive purposes.” p.83.

The quoted text was not an interview with Myatt, was not published in 2013 but was posted in 2016 on the “right-wing” Stormfront internet forum by Dark Logos {9}.

§ Quote: “In the 1990s the leadership of the O9A was taken over by Richard Moult.”

The author reveals a basic lack of understanding of the O9A. For there is not and never was a “leader” of the O9A, as a study of the O9A corpus from the 1980s to 2018 makes clear. {10}

According to Professor Monette the O9A

“is not a structured lodge or temple, but rather a movement, a subculture or perhaps metaculture that its adherents choose to embody or identify with.” {11}

That is, the O9A is a collection of autonomous cells (nexions) and individuals who follow or who are inspired by the Occult philosophy and practices described in the O9A corpus.

§ Quote: “In 2001 I met David Myatt in a Shropshire pub, close to where he shared a caravan with Richard Moult.”

The author fabricates where both Myatt and Moult then lived. At the time Myatt lived in the village of Leigh Sinton near Malvern with his wife and family while Moult lived with his female partner on a farm near Lydbury North in Shropshire.

These facts were known to both the police and MI5 since Myatt was under surveillance following his arrest by Special Branch in 1998 and his interrogation in 1999 by the anti-terrorist squad in relation to Copeland’s nail-bomb attacks in London. At the time of the interview with Lowles, Myatt was still on bail following his 1998 arrest with one of his bail conditions being that he attend Charing Cross police station on a regular basis.

In addition, the places of residence could be confirmed by County Council tax reports, by tax returns from HM Revenue and Customs, and by other official documents, with Myatt at the time working on a farm near Malvern.

Myatt’s version of the interview with Lowles {12} provides a different version of the events.

§ Errors on pseudonyms.

The author gets the following pseudonyms wrong. He has

° Christos Beast – instead of Christos Beest
° Darkos Lago – instead of Dark Logos
° A. A. Morian – instead of A. A. Morain
° Michael Mouthwork – instead of Michael Morthwork

§ Logical Fallacies.

The author of the sections on the O9A and Myatt commits two basic logical fallacies.

° First, he commits the fallacy of Incomplete Evidence, Which is, to quote Myatt, {13} “when material concerning or assumptions about a particular matter are selected and presented to support a particular argument or conclusion, while other material or assumptions which do not support, which contradict, the chosen argument or conclusion are withheld or not discussed. In effect, selective evidence and/or selective argument are used in order to ‘prove’ a particular point.”

The author thus omits to mention or quote from O9A texts which contradict his assumptions or which place into context the quotations he uses. The author also omits to quote from Myatt’s extensive post-2010 writings about his rejection of extremism and about his mystical, ethical, philosophy of pathei-mathos; quotations which would provide Myatt’s side of the story.

In the case of the O9A the author does not, for example, in the matter of “culling” mention or quote from O9A texts which reveal that there is wide diversity of opinion within the O9A as to whether O9A culling is real or merely part of its Labyrinthos Mythologicus {14} and thus just

“a test of occult intuition and a test also designed to put many people off, cause controversy and so generate interest in the O9A.” {15}

As Richard Moult recently wrote:

“Regarding culling: I have always understood this to be a mischievous aspect of the O9A’s Labyrinthos Mythologicus, and during my time associated with its Septenary techniques, I experienced nothing to suggest otherwise.” {16}

The same questions regarding the O9A’s Labyrinthos Mythologicus apply in the matter of the O9A suggesting Insight Roles that may involve criminal acts.

° Second, the author of the sections in the report dealing with the O9A and Myatt commits the fallacy of secundum quid et simpliciter. Which is the use of particular individual cases to form a general rule to then use that rule to describe, and thence to blame, or to castigate, or to defame a whole group.

Thus the author uses selective quotes from people who have associated themselves with the O9A and uses his selection to describe and to defame the O9A.

Trusting In Fake News

So many errors and flaws in so few pages exposes the sections on the O9A and Myatt in the report as untrustworthy, as “fake news”, as propaganda designed to discredit written by an author with a particular political agenda.

The sections on the O9A and Myatt are also a masterclass in how to write, distribute, and have the mainstream Media publish fake news, to thus get the public to believe and spread such fake news.
