Some Reflexions On O9A Aural Tradition

That the Order of Nine Angles (O9A, ONA) has an aural tradition – taught privately from individual Adept to individual Initiate – has long been known among the Occult cognoscenti, referred to as that tradition has been by Anton Long in various O9A texts from the 1980s on, and with some of the tradition so taught having been the subject of various now published MSS, such as those referring to the tradition of the Rounwytha, those relating to Shropshire legends regarding King Arthur, those relating to alchemy and lapis philosophicus; those stories related in ‘the deofel quartet’ and in various sinister short stories; and those relating to the esoteric meaning of ‘the nine angles’.

However, two aspects of the ‘secret traditions’ of the O9A that have, until recently, been rarely publicly mentioned by O9A Adepts are the much commented upon – by outsiders – suspected link between the O9A and National-Socialism, and the esoteric pagan ethos of the O9A and which pagan ethos is most manifest (exoterically) in the O9A code of kindred honour and thus in (a) the support for ancestral tribes and clans over and above The State, and (b) in the mythos of Vindex, with Vindex being the ‘against Time’ hero/heroine par excellence {1} and the one of whom Adolf Hitler spoke to his confidantes about, knowing as he did that he himself was only preparing the way for such a person. As Savitri Devi wrote:

“The last Incarnation of Him-Who-comes-back, the last Man against Time, has many names. Every great faith, every great culture, nay, every true (living or obsolete) form or a Tradition as old as the fall of man (and as the subsequent yearning for the lost earthly Paradise) has given Him one…”

She named him Kalki; the O9A names this person Vindex and – in line with their code of kindred honour and their sinisterly-numinous and Rounwytha traditions – insists that Vindex could be either male or female.

Regarding the O9A and NS, links hitherto rarely publicly mentioned by O9A Adepts, at least until the past year when various items were released by various Adepts which drew attention to this particular ‘secret’ aspect of O9A aural tradition. Items which appeared – mostly via the modern medium of the internet – only to (in many cases) disappear again shortly thereafter. Stories, for example, such as the one titled Selann; or an apparent 2015 interview with Anton Long; or various compilations of selected NS writings by DM; or a compilation of texts (with an introduction by Richard Stirling) regarding the O9A and National-Socialism. All of which, and similar, items were and are only a small part of the O9A mythos, of its Labyrinthos Mythologicus. Just as the ‘sinisterly-numinous’ life of David Myatt – and whether his Islam years and his ‘numinous way/philosophy of pathei-mathos’ were/are sincere or just extended O9A insight roles {2} and/or whether his own diverse, complex, life {3} is an example of what following the O9A seven-fold way means and implies in real life {4} – form part of that mythos.

For such an esoteric mythos is designed to intrigue, to inspire, to sometimes amuse our kind, to cause controversy, to annoy, to be a test; to provide or provoke in some individuals an insight, an acausal knowing, beyond words; and also possibly be one way to not only intentionally mislead the unwary but also lead others to make certain unwarranted (sometimes prejudiced) assumptions about ‘us’ and about the O9A.

As so often, the Occult cognoscenti, and those striving to follow the O9A seven fold way or one of its other praxises, will know or can via their own efforts and/or by the use of certain Dark Arts discover the truth presenced by and embedded within such a mythos, and to their credit quite a few individuals associated with or inspired by the O9A have over the past few years independently discovered the truth.

{2} Senholt – in his Secret Identities in the Sinister Tradition: Political Esotericism and the Convergence of Radical Islam, Satanism, and National Socialism in the Order of Nine Angles [in ‘The Devil’s Party: Satanism in Modernity’. Oxford University Press. pp. 250–274] – considered Myatt’s Islam years to be such an insight role. Similarly, Van Luijk – in his Children of Lucifer: The Origins of Modern Religious Satanism, Oxford University Press, 2016, p.373 – raised the possibility that Myatt’s ‘numinous way/philosophy of pathei-mathos’ is yet another sinister insight role. As someone associated with the English-based L316 Lympstone Nexion mentioned on an internet forum some years ago now:

“As to the Numinous Way, I think that’s the most subversive of the entire tri-headed monster that is the memeplex (ONA, Numinous Way, Reichsfolk). It has a nice coating of ‘respect for all life’ and empathy which are things I can agree with absolutely, and are much easier to accept than the focus on the Sinister of the ONA, however both have the same aim in my view. Imagine if the Numinous Way caught on (which it’s more apt to do than the ONA by definition), and people developed that profound and real respect for one another as Nexions – and people comported themselves with absolute responsibility. By definition the deaths the system causes and running around after money would become repugnant (because it is) naturally as people became more aware of what they were contributing to (as the meme requires). The Numinous way also requires a degree of self reliance and self awareness that the system currently finds repugnant. Imagine if they (per the tenets of the Numinous Way) resolved their disputes among each other (without relying on the state, including through trial by combat). What you’d have is a group of people, driven by a seemingly positive motive, living totally outside the law (among their own) and actively taking responsibility for the horrific actions that the state forces them to be party to every day. They’d be de facto criminals in the eyes of the State. That’s truly subversive right there, but also esoterically does represent the complete circle. It’s the reconciliation where the Sinister Numinous, meets the Numinous.”
